NEW YORK (VINnews) — President Trump took New YorkCity’s leadership to task on Tuesday for the poor handling of the reopening of businesses in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trump accused Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo of ‘detsroying’ New York City in a tweet, saying “New York City must stop the Shutdown now. The Governor & Mayor are destroying the place!”

De Blasio and Cuomo have both taken heat for continuing to disallow indoor dining to come back to the city, despite the fact that NYC continues to show low infection rates.
Some politicians went so far as to announce they will be filing a lawsuit to challenge the indoor dining rules.
Trump continued to rip the democrat leaders on Twitter, suggesting that they are stifling the economy intentionally, so as to give their party a better chance in the upcoming presidntial elections.
“The Democrats will open up their states on November 4th, the day after the Election,” he wrote. “These shutdowns are ridiculous, and only being done to hurt the economy prior to the most important election, perhaps, in our history! #MAGA.”

When asked for a response on the President’s comments, De Blasio spokesman Bill Neidhardt wrote “Donald Trump wants to see a COVID comeback in New York City.”
Neidhardt continued, “Donald Trump has absolutely no legitimacy when he talks about the coronavirus. Even his supporters acknowledge his response to COVID has been a failure, and we would be insane to follow his advice.”
Gov. Cuomo’s office had not issued a response at the time of this writing.
I don’t get it. Trump tells us the obvious: NYC’s shutdown is foolish, politically driven, and probably illegal. So the Mayor’s office responds with bashing Trump? And with lies, no less? Why doesn’t the Mayor tell us how he justifies his policies? Does he have any justification?
Who cares what his opinion of Trump is; the unnecessary, destructive lockdown is the topic, not Trump!
New Yorkers destroyed NYC by listening to askanim and unions who are only concerned with their benefit. New Yorkers and Americans are the most politically naieve people on Earth.
Has anyone seen the whats app video going around where during a BLM march, a senior couple is sitting at an outdoor cafe. A Few balcks take a detour and start bullying these old people. They pick up their coffee and start drinking from it. They flip over their dishes. Its scary to watch. And this is just one freaky thing frm BLM. Yet NYC and the mayor allow this to just fester with no repercussions.

Did everyone see the tape of the BLM march last evening on the GW Bridge? When the cops used restraint in attempting to convince those “peaceful protestors” to go home, one of the BLM participants took a wooden sign, and slammed it against the head of a cop. Then, the cops charged those “peaceful protestors”, and took care of them. One of the protestors had the gall to state that “they beat the —– out of us”. Of course, he didn’t mention what his group did.
