WASHINGTON (VINnews) — Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, who has been directing the peace initiatives in the Middle East with Arab countries, bought a Sefer Torah and presented it to Bahraini king Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa last year, stating that it was “written in his honor.”

Kushner purchased the strictly kosher Sefer Torah from an American sofer (scribe) prior to his trip last week to Bahrain, which boasts a tiny Jewish community. Trump’s advisor, Avi Berkowitz, came to the meeting with the king holding the Sefer Torah and he and Kushner presented it to the king.
Kushner says that he donated the Sefer Torahas a gesture of appreciation for the king’s hosting the unveiling of the economic portion of Kushner’s peace vision last year.
As reported on Friday, Bahrain, Israel and the US issued a joint statement in which they agreed to establish full diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Israel.

I hope it ends up in the shul there. Otherwise this is very inappropriate for a sefer Torah.
He should have given him a sefer torah written on regular paper without ha-shems real name written and with elokim written with a kuf , the king of bahrain wouldn’t know any difference .
