The public is urged to pray for the speedy recovery of Rabbi Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim Ben Pesha. Rabbi Kanievski also requested that people study Maseches Brachos and say ten chapters of Tehillim (both men and women).

Recently a number of household members tested positive and one of them may have infected Rabbi Kanievski himself.

Prime Minister Netanyahu wrote that “I wish a speedy and full recovery to the Torah genius, Rabbi Chaim Kanievski. At this time I join the prayers of myriads of Jews for the rabbi’s health in the spirit of the verse in Mishlei: “For they are life (Chaim) for those who find them and for all his flesh a healing” (Mishlei 4:22)

President Reuven Rivlin prayed for the rabbi’s recovery, stating that “my heartfelt prayers for a complete recovery for our master Rabbi Chaim Kanievski Shlita. May the Holy One, Blessed Be He have compassion on him to cure him and strengthen him and send him a full recovery from heaven.”

Jerusalem mayor Moshe Leon wrote that “together with all of the people of Israel I pray for the speedy recovery of our master, the prince of Torah Rabbi Chaim Kanievski Shlita. During the prayers on the festival we will pray for the recovery of Rabbi Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim Ben Pesha, may he live for many long years. Please Hashem, heal him!”

Absolutely astounding that there is so far not one wish of a refua shleima for the man who davens for us every single day of his life.
Sure, health protocols say wear a mask. But try not to forget what sefer Chofetz Chaim says.

Probably not. I’m sure they were all wearing masks both inside the house and when outside. I’m sure they realized that the health of the Sar HaTorah was depending on it.

Both R’ Kanievsky and Trump didn’t wear masks.
One person with a mask isn’t enough. Both people need to be masked.

Will our people now start to wear masks? Don’t bet on it.

The biggest spreader of the virus is air conditioning. If the intake picks it up from one person it spreads it to everyone.
