NEW YORK (VINnews) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday issued a threat to Yeshivas in red-zone areas that fail to comply with the state’s shutdown orders. Any school that remains open against orders, will lose all state funding.

Cuomo’s warning was issued to New York City, Orange County, Rockland County, the Town of Ramapo, and the village of Spring Valley.

“If schools are operating it’s easy enough to find out,” Cuomo said. “The schools that have been identified as violating the closure order, they will be served today with a notice mandating they close and we are withholding funding from those schools.”

These schools already caught violating the shut-down order will have their funding withheld until the matter is resolved “to our satisfaction,” the governor said.

“I guarantee if a yeshiva gets closed down and they’re not going to get state funding you will see compliance,” Cuomo threatened.

“We could impound all funds,” Cuomo said when asked what the amount of the fines would be, indicating that he would not hesitate to cut off funding completely.

Cuomo said that these new neasures are coming due to repeated reports of a yeshiva illegally operating in a Brooklyn “cluster zone,” as well as another large religious gathering.

Just keep on voting democrat. You will get more threatening, controlling and overbearing government.

Rmemeber the Democrats/Socialsts will give a few dollars, some welfare, a few dollars to the leaders and they will have all the religous votes.

The radical Jew hating democrats will go the JINO community and sell them some emotional half truths and all the non-affiliated and non religious Jews will vote in the most anti Jewish pro Arab pro Muslim anti American politician around.

The only state funding is what’s mandated by law such as bussing and books. King Cuomo has no authority to pull anything.

How about we register all our children, all of Brooklyn, Queens, in the public school system. Let them provide buildngs ,teachers.. to 1000s of new children. We fund our own buildings teachers and most of everything else for our own school system

I think this just maybe the refua before the Makkah. In a few years there will be leftist socialists pushing that we should teach the 3 Rs Reproduction Respect for menuvalim R-Evolution in our yeshivos. Maybe Hashem wants us to get used to be without the governments funding and involvment

If keeping schools open is about the primacy of Limud Hatorah, State money should have nothing to do with the decision making process.

Coumo is running for re-election Nov 8th 2022

We can start the campaign Now, to get him thrown out of office.

In the meantime Coumo can be arrested by Federal Agents, for his Federal Crimes, such as civil rights violations and for his multiple crimes, of his trampling on the constitutional rights of the Jewish community.

All Federal Funding to the State Of NY and all Federal Funding which Coumo gets, always, all comes with a Standard Stipulation, that there will be no Discrimination based on Religion or other forms of discrimination.

Coumo just proved himself as an Anti Semites, and we should lobby Trump, to take away Coumo’s Federal Funding untill he stops his discrimination.

It’s an
ערקתא דמסאנא

Copy and paste and Google it,
if you don’t know what it means.

If we allow Government to dictate to us how we run our schools, in this, (where it’s obviously intended to help them shut us down, and to uproot Yiddishkeit), then there is no end to Coumo’s Madness and every concession which we make to the Anti Semites, will only bring on additional pressure for more and more, of their Anti Semitic Descrimination, with more and more additional demands of the Goyim mixing in, to BULLY Yidden in Yiddishkeit.

He Bullied us with mandating Vaccinations and discriminated against Religion, by not allowing for Religiouse Exemption of vaccinations. And we gave in, so he seeks to bully us, some more.

Immediately afterwords, they had seen that they can succeed in bullying us, so immediately afterwords it was followed by them trying to mandate what we teach in Yeshivos, and we never fully challenged them fully by Charging them with discrimination, in Federal Court.

So now they are bullying us with unjust unfair Covid-19 insane and Religiouse Discrimination
type of regulations.

If we give in now again? Next week they will find more stuff to Bully Yidden with.

Throught history, Yidden never won over the oppressive Goyim, not by giving in to their unjust demands.

We don’t negotiate with those who threaten us.

Instead, we fight back.

It’s standard policy and common sense to never negotiate with Anti Semitic Governor / Terrorist, who threaten us.

This is what happens when our “Leaders” (who elected them?) prioritze $$ over principles. They supported this guy because he threw some money at them and gave them a few photo ops (so they can show people how much influence they have) and now they see what he is really all about. Enough of the Agudah!! they have no real influence. We should just ignore them.

Could it be possible to just follow the rules?
I do believe that all protests should have a mask mandate too.

I’m not sure what Cuomo powers are to impound funds. I would have thought you needed a court order. I dont think yeshivas that are open will back down because of threat of funds. The yeshivas need the money but will take their chances

“The fault dear Brutus lies not in our stars, but in ourselves….”. In other words, don’t defy the rules by which everyone has to abide, and expect a different outcome.

Governor Cuomo’s so-called threat has nothing to do with anti-semtism, but with scientific based actions designed to get all of us through the pandemic and limit the spread of this plague.

it is a booshah that so-called religious people do not follow rules and continue to refuse to wear masks etc. You are not creating any friends with this behavior.

Why is it that the Haredim in New York act crazy? In Baltimore, people are sane, the community is responsible and most institutions are able to remain open with restrictions. Don’t flout the law people.
