Unprecedented Rabbinic Support For President Trump In Historic Letter

NEW YORK (VINnews) — In an unprecedented demonstration of support for President Trump, a letter carrying the signatures of a large number of prominent chareidi rabbis in the US was released Saturday night thanking President Trump for deeming houses of worship “essential” and enabling them to remain open despite the high levels of COVID-19 at present in the US.

The letter, which was signed by the rebbes of Pupa, Vizhnitz, Bobov and both rebbes of Satmar as well as by Rabbi Shmuel Kamenetzky, Rabbi Malkiel Kotler and Rabbi Elie Dov Wachtfogel,  expresses “deepest gratitude” to the President for his decision, adding that he has given a “powerful voice” to the notion that we must “turn to the Almighty” in the face of the “current tribulations.”

The rabbis added that President Trump had expressed his leadership in standing up for First Amendment religious rights and had “exemplified that leadership with your commitment to the essential importance of religious entities.” The president had “sent a clear and unequivocal message that the right to pray and study is non-negotiable.”

In conclusion, the rabbis stated that since Judaism believes  that a person is rewarded by G-d “measure for measure’, since the president had “proudly held aloft the banner of G-d and religious belief”, he deserves in turn that “G-d Almighty will bless you to proudly lead us to victory in our current war with COVID-19.”

The letter stops short of recommending to vote for the president but does endorse his leadership and concludes with a prayer said by Jews for the ruling leader: “May the King of all kings defend him in his mercy, bring him joy and protect him from all dangers and distress.”

On Sunday evening, President Trump acknowledged the support, tweeting “Thank you Rabbis!”

1) This is not a new letter, it was put together a while ago. The “recent declaration” of the President that it refers to at the outset, goes back to May, over five months ago. That is close to half a year ago.

2) “In conclusion, the rabbis stated that since Judaism believes that a person is rewarded by G-d “measure for measure’, since the president had “proudly held aloft the banner of G-d and religious belief”, he deserves in turn that “G-d Almighty will bless you to proudly lead us to victory in our current war with COVID-19.”

That is not what it says. It does not say “he deserves”, or “you deserve”. It says rather, “May G-d Almighty bless you to proudly lead us to victory in our current war with COVID-19”. They bless him to lead a victory over COVID-19. It is a blessing, not a verdict.

3) The prayer at the end is an old prayer for a head of state that goes back centuries.

Half of them support every leftist.

Anyone remember before Cuomos first election how many rebbes on this list endorsed him.

It is interesting that there is no date on the letter.

The foolish Jewish mainstream media will falsely twist this letter as if it’s an endorsement that jews should vote for this racist who’s fanning the flames of hatred throughout the country which is actually endangering our well being.

It’s about time WE LIVE THE TRUE REALITY!!!

This wants me to puke. A liar, philanderer and guy who probably caused the death of 100,000+ lives (by not showing an example of wearing masks, and social distancing) is praised by these rabbis? Shame on them, I don’t care how much Toisfes they know. Rabbis in Europe also thought they knew all, and told the Jews not to run during those dark days.
p.s. How can anyone praise a demagogue such as Trump?
Believe me, Israel will survive, with or without Trump.
Again, for shame !
