WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Rep. Liz Cheney says she will vote to impeach President Donald Trump.

The Wyoming congresswoman, the No. 3 Republican in the House, said in a statement Tuesday that Trump “summoned” the mob that attacked the Capitol last week, “assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack.” She says, “Everything that followed was his doing.”
She also notes that Trump could have immediately intervened to stop his supporters, but he did not.
Cheney says, “There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.”
Cheney is a daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
New York Rep. John Katko was the first Republican to say he’d vote to impeach Trump.

Trump is going to have to find a new party, a new country, new social media platforms, new cable network, new banks for loans. Trump has got his work cut out but the Republican Party is coming back!!!
Another one of the WUSSES on the Republican side. She’s willing to already impeach without going through all the evidence and hearing the evidence. Where is the justice in that? Is this the United States of America? Her action should cause her to be removed from Congress andIf that doesn’t happen in 2022, I hope it happens two years later before she does more damage to the country.
As part of the evidence, the Republicans should play the entire Trump speech, where at no point ever did he ask for anything violent to happen at the capitol. In fact he did say or should be peaceful and respectful!
It might also be worth checking the exact timeline as it seems the “storming” of the capitol, happened before the president was even completed with his speech.
The next question is why were they able to access the Capitol building so easily? I saw videos just like everyone else did where the police officers were removing barricades and showing people which way to go. Where was the capital police? Doesn’t the buck stop at Nancy pelosi’s desk for this?
Given all the Trump rallies for the past 5 years, how many disorderly conduct arrests were there? The answer is, you never heard of any if there were. Suddenly, there’s going to be thousands of people just going nuts on the Capitol building? I know the Democrats don’t want to hear it but clearly there was Leftist “rent a mob” mixed in to them.
When the truth will come out completely, I don’t know. But I certainly hope it happens soon.
Two wrongs never make a right. However, it is interesting that note – when the mob broke in to “your” house in Portland, took over your city is Seattle, NO outcry whatsoever, nothing Now that congress house was defiled all hell breaks loose. Maybe the leaders of our country will understand how it feels to be attacked at home (or in your store) and start to condemn violence a bit more. I guess it came home to roost. May I ask, why is their “house” more sacred than yours??
