Published between 1980 and 1984, Ohel Rochel is a comprehensive work by Chabad librarian Chaim Lieberman. Its 3 volumes comprise years of research that span the history of Jewish publishing, Chassidic history and thought, and related topics.

The Sefer’s author worked closely with the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, the Raya”tz, as he amassed his famous world famous library. He traveled with the Rebbe after communists expelled him from Russia, and remained with him when he fled Poland during the Nazi onslaught at the onset of WWII. Arriving in NY together with the Rebbe and his family, the author began organizing the library at its current location in Crown Heights. At the same time he began sharing his vast knowledge in articles he published periodically in various Jewish publications. The seforim comprise these articles, in addition to many notes, musings and reflections of its unique author.

The author explores topics so wide-ranging that in a sense it defies any of the standard classifications regularly attributed to Seforim of this sort. From the stories of the founding of the Breslov Chassidic court, to the history of many pioneering Jewish printing presses like Slavita and Warsaw, these articles and reflections are original, thoroughly researched, and well written.

The seforim were unavailable for many years, now, after many years a limited lot of complete sets have been found and are now available for purchase.

Less than 100 sets still available. Orders are fulfilled on a first come first serve basis.

Sets can be purchased at https://ohelrochel.com/
