Watch: Hero Rescues Vietnamese Child Who Fell From 12th Floor Of Building

NEW YORK (VINnews) — In a dramatic scene which occurred in Hanoi Vietnam, a 2-year-old child who fell 12 floors from her house was caught by a passing delivery person, breaking her fall and saving her life.

A video of the scene showed the child teetering on the balcony of the 12th floor with her relatives screaming for help. The delivery boy, 31-year-old Nguyen Ngoc Manh, heard the screams, jumped on the roof of a nearby structure which was under the building and somehow succeeded in catching the child, despite slipping just as the child fell. Although the child suffered a dislocated hip in the fall, she is not in danger to her life. Manh suffered a minor sprain in the incident.

Despite his brave actions, Manh modestly insisted that he was merely lucky that “the baby fell in my lap” and added that “I don’t think I’m a hero. Anybody would have done the same.”
